Love and Life, Truth and Wealth

Posted on Jan 2nd, 2009 by Alex : Wizard Alex
Darkmatter

In times of confusion I pray for the clarity of mind and vision to see why it's good for me. I believe it' always for my good but sometimes it's so hard to see it.

There Is No Religion Greater Than Truth! anything else would have been hypocritical. Greed and capitalism are bad?. I believe they exist for a reason. I believe Capitalism led to this level of civilization and development that we have now. The other path proclaiming unselfish concern for the others is wrought with dangers as was proven by the horrors of socialism. "Love your neighbor like you love yourself" doesn't imply more than yourself and it doesn't imply that you don't love yourself : just the opposite. Only if you love yourself a lot you can love your neighbor more. If life is God's gift to us and if we respect God we are bound to treasure his gift and make this life as good as possible.

The Triangular Personality

Posted on Jan 3rd, 2009 by Alex : Wizard Alex

I grew up being both an unpopular geek till I turned 14 and moved to another school in another town to one of the most popular and then again Mr. Unknown in yet another new place. I am both independent but crave  approval. I guess all of us do even if we don't admit it.

I have a working hypothesis that a persons consists of three aspects: what he or she thinks of himself or herself, what the other think of him or her and what he or she really is.

To this I may add are the vectors towards what we want to be, what others want us to become and where our inner feeling tells us we should go. Their misalignments can cause anguish.

Fate or Choice

Posted on Jan 8th, 2009 by Alex : Wizard Alex
There always is a choice. It's not a fact but attitude. To think otherwise is to preach that it's better to lay down and die. The claim that we have a choice makes us human. Yes the reality is there to modify our plans but we still have the choice to look at it and make the best of the situation.
The system is bad because we don't know how to make it better. Yet it's the best system humanity has ever had. We, the people, strive to find and better way! We don't know exactly how but our discussions make it more likely that we'll stumble upon the right track instead of wandering in the dark.

Why Political Philosophy?

Why Political Philosophy?

"Man is either governed by his own laws -- freedom -- or the laws of another -- slavery. Are you willing to become slaves? Will you give up your freedom, your life and your property without a single struggle? No man has a right to rule over his fellow creatures."
Alexander Hamilton

Because I think poliics and philosophy  are the most important spheres of human endavor just because so much depends on politics and our views of life. Of course someone might object that there are much more important things in life than politics and philosophy like food, sex and even happiness and they have a point, but I believe that politics and philosophy must come first if we are to take charge of our lives and get what we want regardless of our priorities. Else we llive to others to make for us the most important decisions. I think he said it better:

I know politicians have been criticized a lot. And that's how it should be. They are under our scrutiny because so much depends on them. Politics and philosophy are often treated with disdain as not worthy fields of human endeavor liki medicine or science and the frequent failures of politics to achieve harmonious development of our society and of philosophy to explain the big questions in life, provide guidance or show where we as humanity are headed

Liberty, Sancho, is Sacred!

Posted on Jan 13th, 2009 by Alex : Wizard Alex
Said Don Quixote to Sancho Pansa while riding his horse in the dark forest with Sancho clinging to his master’s leg and shitting himself in fear from the darkness.

Liberty has two interrelated aspects. First it is an inalienable right and that means that you are not free to sell your freedom. and any contract to that end is null and void.

The second aspect is the realization of this right. The mere fact of it’s existence doesn’t give me anything tangible. It’s up to me to make use of it. Freedom if used knowledgeably can lead to happiness or if you make the wrong choices that can severely limit your freedom. So knowledge how to make freedom your own is crucial.
Paul said it simply: You’ll know the truth and the truth will make you free. But what is that truth that will make us free? That’s something you have to find for yourself. If Paul knew it he certainly would have given us the answer. Truth is personal and truth is born in discussion.

We organize in families, neighborhoods, churches, business partnerships, bridge clubs, and countries to achieve different goals in our lives. We can only be free with the help and acknowledgement of others. A savage person alone on an island has limited choices and respectively limited freedom, free from oppression but oppressed by need. We need the help of others to be free. We are free to choose what we want in life, but we can only achieve it effectively in cooperation. Truth is personal because the most important part of it is: what we want. It’s our purpose in life and only we can know it even if we can only achieve it cooperation with others.

There is no such thing as country, society and the economy outside of our combined interests. And we are the only one who really know and can take care of these interests. Any institutions or persons who claim that they know better than us are either confused or hypocritical.

Liberty is not about freedom from the government. Government helps us keep our freedom. And if it doesn’t, we have the right and obligation to choose a government that will. It may be easy or it may be hard but we have to do it in order to earn our freedom. Liberty is our right, the knowledge what we want and how to get there and what we are doing to successfully get there. (not mindless work to avoid idling but creative, passionate action geared to win).

Majority rule is about choices and the majority may be right and they may be wrong in the end they are only human the only gamble here being that the majority is more often right than wrong. still that doesn’t give the majority any right to oppress the minority whose rights are equally inalienable. The truth is born in discussion and as the truth is essential for freedom we need to make sure every voice is heard so we can have more chance to strike the mother lode of wisdom. Democracy is about, majority rule, observing the rights of everyone and good governance but ultimately designed to assist us in our pursuit of happiness.
We the people have
Liberty and no one can take it from us. Still it’s up to us to turn this right to freedom into the reality of happiness without which freedom will have no meaning.

Truth and the Right to Freedom

Posted on Jan 17th, 2009 by Alex : Wizard Alex
We have the right to freedom yet work for making that right real and knowledge is the only way to open profitable choices for ourselves. The alternative: choosing blindly will be a gamble with unpredictable results. Truth is the basis of knowledge: lies and delusion can only confuse and ensnare us in false hope wasting our time and efforts. I've tried to dwell on it more here: computzar.blogspot.com/ but am far from a definite conclusion. I believe the truth that makes you free is personal. It can't be universal. It is the search for this truth that gives meaning to our lives. It is personal because can only really know what you love and love is unique and personal for everyone.

Globalization, New World Order, World Government and Prosperity

Posted on Jan 31st, 2009 by Alex : Wizard Alex
You can only be in charge of your own fate if you work towards it. It's not the government that gives you freedom you have freedom as a birth right but have to work constantly for it.to materialize.
Generally I believe that there should be no difference between the US government and a future World government like there is no much difference between the government of California and the US government though their is a difference between the Governor of California and the President of the US. That’s why I thing all cries against globalization and new world are unfounded and foolish. We can only fear what we don’t know. What we create ourselves cannot be scary for if we don’t like it we can remake it.
A proper government is essential for prosperity. The only proper government is a democratic government so the only legitimate world government is the one that helps us preserve and further our rights to life and the pursuit of happiness and if not we bring it down and forge another that will do that. I don't see any problem here. Tell me if I am wrong?
